BIO

I was born in Albuquerque New Mexico, and was involved in creative endeavors from a very early age. AfterRobert recording and touring with a band known as the Burgundy Runn, I completed undergraduate university studies in Music Theory and Composition, and Religious Studies. Eventually this led to wider explorations of creativity. In 1988, I received a Masters degree in Art and Consciousness Studies from John F. Kennedy University. Later, I received a Masters Degree in Divinity and a Ph.D. in Education.  Currently, I am Artist in Residence and teacher at the Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Madison, Wisconsin.

Incorporating material from diverse sources, I work to arrange subject matter in a way that expresses some truth about life, about what it means to be human in a less than perfect world. I use the technical tools of drawing and composition in combination with  color, pattern, form and line to create art that expresses a sense of meaning in life and a view of the world more hopeful and positive than is commonly found in these times.
